The World Drum

Please join John Dorr at The Giveaway Lodge and listen to his stories about his recent journey to Spain and the El Camino with the World Drum.

The World Drum Project was initiated October 21, 2006. The World Drum itself was created from a spiritual viewpoint of life and is a
Shamandrum made in Sami (indigenous people of Norway) tradition style. It is the manifestation of a vision that Whitecougar received about a drum that was to go from hand to hand and from land to land with the message about peace towards nature and among men.

The mission of the World Drum's is to Unite, cooperate and heal. The World Drum Project is an environmental and peace project meant to be a wake up call to humanity and the hazardous exploitation of Mother Earth`s resources. It is all about creating a change in our consciousness and what we as individuals can do to reinstate our spiritual relationship to Mother Earth.

Its vision is to bind people together across race, religion, borders, cultures, ethnicity, colors or political conviction in a common struggle for humanity and Mother Earth. We are all humans on this one planet, and the time is now to cooperate.

Horses, Heart and Healing

Rediscover the wisdom of your body, mind and spirit in this special day-long workshop with horses.

Let nature and horses help heal what longs for healing within you. Come back to what has heart and meaning for you.

Horses, Heart and Healing will:

  • Recharge your spirit
  • Remind you of your strengths
  • Hold your challenges compassionately
  • Give you insights that translate into immediate, practical actions you can apply in your life

You will work with horses on the ground doing experiential activities such as observing, approaching, touching and leading.

Horses are large and magnificent animals. Accomplishing a task involving a horse, in spite of fears or limitations, creates confidence and provides practical ways to deal with challenging situations. Horses attune to what your body, emotions, energy and thoughts are telling them. Their non-judgmental honesty makes them especially effective messengers.

In addition, the horse’s natural responsiveness to clear intention empowers you to live from the place of strength, no matter what your physical condition or life circumstances.

Cost for the day is $225.

The Psychology of Living

You will thoroughly enjoy an opportunity to learn from two master facilitators as you explore three important questions about the meaning of life:

  1. Who Am I?
  2. Who are these other people?
  3. What are we doing here?

Jeanne Wiger and Ted Harrison will teach you TA basics including Communication Theory, Game Analysis and Script Analysis. These tools will support you in making your personal and professional lives more productive and successful.

Eric Berne is the social psychiatrist who originated Transactional Analysis, a method of studying and improving personal interactions to increase the capacity for positive change and personal growth. Berne wrote a bestselling book titled, Games People Play. He defines a “game” as a series of interactions between two or more people that follow a predictable pattern and progress to an outcome in which people obtain a payoff.  Games are played outside a person's conscious awareness. Information and resources about Transactional Analysis are available at www.ericberne.com.

Pay $150 for the workshop with cash or check at the event. Bring a bag lunch with you on Saturday. The workshop hours are 9am until 5pm on Saturday and from 1pm to 5pm on Sunday.

This workshop is approved by the USATAA.

Sacred Hoops: Giving Voice to the Sacred Feminine

Hoop for Marketing Materials.PNG

Original Participation Fee: $300

We just had a donor that will match your $150 deposit in order for you to participate in this life changing experience.  Limited Seats Available.  Don't wait . . . please sign up today.

Join Jeanne Wiger on a transformational journey. This workshop guides you to a better understanding of the feminine aspect of who you are and your purpose in life. Learning with other travelers will build a healthy and interdependent community based on the wholeness of each individual. This workshop promotes healing and an understanding of the power of the feminine energy within each of us.

The 36 inch Sacred Hoops began their journey as cedar hoops made by Ojibwe women the the late 1800s. The hoops were used to carry birch bark and wild rice. The eight hoops drifted from the bottom of the lake to the shore in front of Jeanne's lake cabin. She created unique paintings within the hoops to honor the grandmothers who made them and to represent the feminine stages and phases of life.

Each hoop is a complete work. Either side of the hoop is a study in itself, dealing with a different aspect of life. There is no front or back, but a continuum of life. The imagery of the Spirit Hoops is rich with cultural symbols and archetypes, particularly the ancient feminine.

The hoops depict each of the eight directions and represent a time of day, season of the year and aspect of life. The hoops are hung in a circle and the energies of the stages and phases of the feminine journey interweave with each other. The stages are Conception, Birth, Childhood and Adolescence. The phases are Sexuality, Empowerment, Spirituality and Death.
